Food Truck Concession Window Conversion
The Convenience of Lift Support
Struts or lift supports are common features on modern food trucks, and they open easily and stay open until you're ready to close for the day. There are no locking bars to deal with, and the amount of effort required to activate them is negligible. Lift supports allow you to quickly open your stand, cutting down on preparation time. Do you have an older or more basic food cart that doesn't have lift struts? It's no problem! Hatchlift LLC's food truck concession window struts are a simple installation that will make your workday easier.
Determining The Right Struts For Your Window Doors
Our lift supports for food truck concession windows are available in a variety of strengths to handle varied weights. You'll need to weigh your food trailer or catering truck window doors to determine their strength. One 2x4 board or other vertical support that will suspend your window doors open would suffice. Place the board six inches away from where the struts will be fastened to your food cart. Then, on the ground beneath the board, set a scale. The weight reading on the scale will give you a decent idea of how much force support you'll need. Lift supports are available for a variety of weights, including:
1. 75 Lbs.
2. 115 Lbs.
3. 190 Lbs.
4. 200 Lbs.
Mounting Brackets
When in doubt, size up to ensure that your window doors will stay open properly. Mounting brackets that are compatible with struts that employ 13mm ball stud end fittings are also recommended. For food truck concession window lift supports, this is the most common size of ball fitting. Lift supports do wear out after many years of use and may need to be replaced at some point. You should be able to readily buy replacement struts with 13mm end fittings to fit into your original mountings at that time.
